For example, an 18-foot-wide ramp can be created by aligning three 6-foot-wide modules side by side. The ramp system is composed of three principal components, each designed for optimal functionality, safety, and ease of installation:

Main Ramp Structure: The core crossing platform, built to withstand heavy loads. The ramp features integrated mounting points for pedestrian handrails, enhancing safety for foot traffic. Its surface is coated with a high-traction, sanded nonslip finish to ensure secure footing and vehicle traction in various weather conditions.

Distribution Toe Plate: This component is securely fixed to the barge or destination platform, designed to evenly distribute the ramp’s load across the deck surface. The toe plate’s robust construction minimizes stress on the barge or supporting surface, preserving its structural integrity while providing a stable connection point for the ramp.

Land Side "Standard" Toe Plate: This toe plate facilitates a smooth and safe transition from the ground to the ramp. It is designed to slide on a steel plate supported by matting or another suitable foundation. Both toe plates are hinged, enabling the ramp to pivot vertically and adapt to changes in elevation, such as tidal fluctuations or differing crossing elevations.
